Always look around
I was at one of my favourite local places to photograph the Lake Ontario shore at the base of the Scarborough Bluffs when the sun popped out below the clouds just above the horizon. I was shooting into the sun to get a flared look when I looked behind me and there was the beautiful warm sunlight bathing the shoreline with the ominous dark clouds over head. After a couple more shots into the setting sun I captured this image. There were 50 mile an hour cold winds with a windchill of -40 Celsius and I had to hold my tripod down and was constantly wiping the graduated filter.
